About Us

Max Withrow was raised in Colorado by his aunt and uncle who owned and operated a small paving business in the Denver Metro area. With experience paving as a young man it didn't take long to brush up on skills and start building a regular clientele.

In 1992 Alaska Frontier Services LLC started business as a Trucking company which offered contract hauling services in the central region of Alaska. In 1997 we decided to start a grading and paving side of the company.

Alaska Frontier Services LLC currently employs approximately 35 people in the summer months and approximately 10 in the winter months. We take pride in our work and equipment; we feel this is important to maintain a good working relationship with our customers.

We have experience in both Private and Commercial, including the State Of Alaska, Municipality of Anchorage, JBER Alaska, Mat-Su Borough, Anchorage School District, Department of Natural Resources, Alaska Railroad, and a long list of Commercial & Residential Contractors. In addition, AFS has been a member of the Better Business Bureau since 2005.
